>Taken by surprise

> (Today’s pic came from here.)

It’s taken us a bit by surprise, this cold snap. I don’t know why, we all know it’s coming, but when it gets here we’re all in shock. It has been absolutely FREEZING. The heating has gone up another notch and I’ve had the door curtain closed in the lounge. Sometimes I have the fire on too, just until it warms up. This morning I woke up and felt the chill, expecting there to be frost or ice outside, and it had been raining. I’m not complaining, though. I like this time of year and look out for snow all the while.

Tomorrow’s conference has been postponed until the new year. By then I may have someone else in place to authorise my expenses by proxy. I was looking forward to seeing my parents, but I’ll make a Sunday drive down to see them instead, maybe this weekend if the weather and road conditions permit.

I’m pleased the conference has been cancelled as I expect my pdfs during this evening. We are due to go to print next Tuesday so I can print them off tomorrow. I’ll probably do 2 half days in the office to make sure I pick up and can print everything. Proofing pdfs is something I quite like doing at home.

    >The winter has really set in, mind I'd rather have the cold snap than all that rain. Fishguard sounds great and looks lovely. Not going to Lincoln this year…..wait for it………going to Bruges tomorrow for the Christmas Market and back on Sunday. Keep your fingers crossed the rain stays away, the forecast is awful.

    >Knowing I wasn't going to be in the office for 2 days was starting to panic me, but everything's back on track again.

    >The ice patterens are so pretty on your picture. One of the craft projects with patients at work this week has been cutting out snowflakes..everyone being different ..as they are. Your pic reminded me of those beautiful natural patterns.
