>What a busy day

> Don’t forget to follow the link

Wow. Yesterday. I didn’t stop all day. All. Day. Well, apart from to eat and let the cats in and out and stuff like that.

During the day I was working on the day job, proofing pdfs, typing and submitting corrections. During the evening I was working on the confidential job, and it’s still not totally finished. So that’s what I’m doing this morning. Yes, I am in the office (in case the SS are watching), but I’m only here in case something comes in that needs my attention. Yesterday was a day in the bag as I don’t generally do Mondays. And I used my own ink, paper and electricity to print the things off too. So at the moment I’m not technically here, I am a figment of everyone’s imagination.

That means today is the waiting game, waiting for corrected pdfs to come in. I’ll crack on with the other job as I should have really been working on that all day yesterday.

I cooked yesterday evening too. Spaghetti bolognaise really is one of the fastest fresh foods. I made 4 portions, ate 1 and froze 3. If I also get in the mood on Thursday I’ll batch cook a chili con carne. Then the freezer will be nicely packed with lots of home made ready meals – there are already chicken casseroles with dumplings in there, and a couple of macaroni cheeses with tuna. If I’m feeling really adventurous, and if there’s still room, I’ll batch cook some cottage/shepherd’s pies at the weekend as well. This morning I probably reek of garlic – the house certainly smells of roasted garlic. That should keep the beasties and ghoulies away. :o)

It’s a lovely day, not as cold as it has been, nice blue sky, bit of sunshine. Someone on Facebook not far from me said it was freezing. Well, not in the back of beyond nor in Sleepy Hollow. Today it’s gorgeous.

    >Dull and cloudy in Huddersfield. Still, not long until the shortest day and then we turn a corner.

    >I was thinking it wouldn't be long before the days started to get a bit longer again. Still a few short days to come though. Still fairly bright here.

    >Lynne: With great difficulty – but they are generous portions and it is nice to have a choice in the freezer. Now cake, on the other hand … um …Lacey: Thank you very much. :oD
